Ya, this machine is great the only downside is it kinda tires out your amrs after awhile even if you don’t use your amrs to pull (cheat) you will stil probably feel your amrs getting a bit tires, but other then that it works great and gives great results. I do my abs every 2nd day now and do 4 sets of 75 on normal front abbs and 4 sets of 35 on right oblique and 4 sets of 35 on left oblique and i find it to work very well.

UPDATE #2: Sorry for the delay, work has been crazy designing websites. I just uploaded video #2. Results: Lost 7 pounds total in 2 months. Diet was unchanged and I didn’t always get enough sleep, so that’s a pretty solid result considering my crazy schedule. I averaged 3 1/2 workouts/week. Hope this is helpful. – Steve

I saw the $14.95 commercial, went to their website for more pricing info….$400.00 bucks!!! Looks like a $99 to $149 piece of hardware to me. So the way I see it is, over $200 profit if you’re happy with it, or just too complacent to bother returning it. If you try to return it, i’ll bet they offer you up to 50% credit just to keep it, after discount, they’ve still made a profit!! Has any dissatisfied customers tried to return the thing, i’d like to know if i’m right?

Hmmm, pretty much hit that on the head. I just tried to return mine after the 60 day guarantee…they said they’d give me $200 back. Again, hit that on the head – good job of calling it!

I’m sure the Ab Coaster is not for everyone but IMHO the price was fair. A 1 hr workout with a trainer costs $80 in a gym. 5 workouts = $400. Recently I bought a set of iron dumbbells on sale for $200. Bottom line: good health is expensive, but not as expensive as bad health. The cheapest way is to buy your own equipment–provided you use it. For me, fitness is an investment in good health and well worth the cost.

shelby – I have one. It is higher than if buying from a store, because the cost for airtime. It will likely come down when it settles in stores like all the other TV products. However – it is very well made – very sturdy – and a great product. I have been a fitness buff for many many years – abwork is painful to the back with anything else for abs. This allows me to work abs to and beyond failure with no neck or back stress.

Sonic – why did you try to return it? Buyer’s remourse for the amount spent? Or, not impressed with it? Or, what?

The Ab Coaster is awesome. It’s so highly effective, honestly. I just got mine and i’m amazed at how well it works your entire abdominals, including your lower abs. I should’ve gotten this machine a long time ago. It simulates hanging leg lifts and gives you a better ab workout than anything else (situps, crunches, etc.). I was a skeptic, but now i’m hooked, i recommend it to everyone.

Yeah, even kids like it. When my friends come to visit, their kids are on my ab coaster full time.

goodluck getting parts for this machine. customer service will tell you they don’t sell parts and you need to buy a new one. the rollers under the seat wear sown fairly quickly. you can usually find guys like this on craigslist trying to sell them for $100-$200

nice but isn’t nearly worth 400 dollars. I am 45 yr old woman had four kids, 5′ tall weigh 105. I do sit ups and leg lifts every day and I am totally ripped. Its not the machine that gives you great abs its the self discipline. Anyone can have abs of steel with or without this machine but you have to put the work into it and whether you have the machine or not your going to work but the question is…would you rather have the abs of steel at no cost.

so, all people that go to the gym are wasting their money, right? No piece of gym equipment is worth using – right? Leg lifts and sits ups kill my back way before my abs are worked to exhaustion. Many people have bad backs, and many more choose to use resistance equipment.

I don’t think I ever stated in my comments that “no gym is worth going to” nor did I ever say that NO equipment is worth using. I think you need to go back and reread my comment. What I said is that there are “less expensive ways to get the same results.” and that this machine (the ab coaster) is not worth 400 dollars. At best there are other machines for less than the ab coaster that do even more. You don’t need a machine to get the same results and that is a fact.
